It’s been a warm dry fall, allowing time to prepare the trails for the upcoming ski season. If you’d like to reflect on the beauty of the Blue Hills Trail, take a look at the following video. It’s guaranteed to get you ready for snow.
How to view the video: on the lower right corner of the video screen, choose one of two different resolutions – for those of you with a slower internet connection, select the 360p mode; for faster connections choose either 360p or 480p. Pause and play buttons are available, as well as volume control. When the control buttons disappear, hover your mouse over the video to find the controls. Just give the various control options a try – be sure to try the full screen view (the rectangle on the lower right). Enjoy the show!
Grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, turn up your volume control, then sit back and relax. See anyone you know?
If your time is short, try this version:

Fantastic slide show! It nearly equals the trail system itself and the joy of skiing them. We should never forget that they were taken by the person who should get the lions share of credit for all that the photos depict. Thank you Tom.
Thanks for the shout out – creating the video helped me relive all those great times on the Trails. -Tom
Oh Wow! What a wonderful visit to the Blue Hills this video provides.
I could just feel what the skiers and hikers were feeling as they moved along those trails.
It’s a wonderful gift your group has given The Hills by continuing to develop and make the area available for those who would love to “be there and do that”. I know what a gift it is in return to those who work.
It’s great that you involve the young people as well. We did in the early days, and those young people still speak of those days and times.
Thanks for the beautiful bridge in my honor … I am truly touched … and proud.

OMG!!! Excellent video- You must have had a lot of fun putting that together with Kristine. Hope the snow comes on strong this January-
Happy New Year. Our best to you and Jan.
Thanks for the applause. Lotsa fun assembling those memories! We’re in the midst of a desert heat wave. We’ll trade for snow & cold. Happy 2012 to you!
