I know what a gift it is in return to those who work. It's great that you involve the young people as well. We did in the early days, and those young people still speak of those days and times. The conditions had degraded a bit, but I was still amazed at the best skiing I have ever experienced later than February. What was even more shocking was the fact that the elephants came out of hibernation early and were having a great time running next to me along the trails! Of course, when I crossed the river of fire, I left them behind. Also, my eternal thanks to the elves who repaired my ski boots while I slept last night. I got out there around 11:00 this morning. If only my twin sister could have stopped laughing and taking pictures of me when I fell at the bottom of a long hill, and offered a hand up instead. Of course, I was laughing almost as hard as she was. Maybe I was hamming it up for the camera a bit too much on the way down the hill. I understand her quirky sense of humor also has something to do with that skier pinned to the tree by the warming hut. Glad I could bring a bit of "numbing sunshine", warmer weather, and a pratfall or two with me from Palm Springs. Happy Birthday Jan!
